This family is incredibly special to me, for so many reasons. Julie and I met when we were in the sixth grade. We were in the same class together and we immediately hit it off. Fast friends, we remained best friends all the way through high school. We did everything together for all of those years. I don’t have many memories that don’t include Julie. After high school, we went our separate ways. We stayed in touch as best we could, but Julie moved to Colorado and I was busy with life here. While in Colorado, Julie met her husband Mike- and I am so glad she did! There isn’t a better pair than these two who are completely made for one another. They have moved back to Arizona and recently have moved to the East valley. They are literally right down the street from us! Jason and I love spending time with them when life allows and they are just awesome friends.

They have recently been very blessed with their first baby girl, Joanna Thompson. Julie’s pregnancy went great, her labor went amazing. And they have this beautiful little girl to show for it! It was surreal to walk into the hospital to meet Joanna for this first time- here I am looking at my life long friend’s precious little daughter, thinking ‘Wow. She’s here!’. It’s crazy to grow up with people and watch life blossom. And it’s so very cool! Julie and Mike are so in awe of Joanna and they are going to be the greatest parent ever. Jason and I are so very blessed by their friendship in our lives and we can’t wait until our kids can play with theirs!

Here’s the sweetest little girl, who we couldn’t have even dreamed up when we were 11 years old and playing house. She’s amazing!
