Meet Rachel & Mikis! These two gorgeous love birds are getting married this coming spring and we had the honor of shooting an engagement session with these fun friends. Rachel works for Westcor and Jess worked alongside her when she worked there as well. As you can she in the images, she’s super fashionable and we were excited to capture their vibrant style.

I’ve been wanting to use this particular chair, with it’s Victorian parlor-esque look to it, for a bit now and we decided that Rachel & Mikis would be the perfect couple to incorporate the chair into. Rachel was creative and involved enough to propose some ideas about the vision for the shoot and one of her thoughts was to use a junkyard of some sort. Well, luck would have it that we knew the perfect spot for them in an old abandoned lot full of vintage trucks and farm equipment, including a sweeeeeet rusty crane-type truck!

Not to mention they brought along their precious baby….their little dog Milo.

We started off in the junkyard and moved later to a field that absorbed some amazing light as the sun passed over the horizon and dusk settled in. Gorgeous light and beautiful people turned into a great setting for some fantastic images. Jess and I are excited for the new chapter of Rachel & Mikis’ life together and we were so grateful to be part of a small piece of it!
