Jen & Steve- Engagement Session

We’ve said it before. We’ll say it again. We LOVE engaged people! And while we love photographing all different types of people from all walks of life, there is something truly special about an engaged couple. You can’t disagree! Jen and Steve were no exception! Set to wed this coming Spring, you can just tell that this lively couple is so excited and anxious to start their lives together as a married couple. And we have been lucky enough to have been asked to photograph the upcoming event! These two are tying the knot in Austin, Texas but were in town when we did this photo shoot. So we headed straight to Downtown Phoenix, which was the perfect spot to snap away at these two! They are loyal (and we mean LOYAL) Phoenix Suns fans, traveling all over to attend their games no matter what type of season they might be having! During the time when they were dating, a lot of their date nights were spent in Downtown Phoenix at various games, restaurants etc. So it was very fitting that we head down there again to capture these two as an engaged couple. It was a great time hanging with these two! We are so excited to be heading to Texas to watch them say their vows to one another- and it’s just right around the corner and will be here before we know it!

Mike & Nicole- Engagement Session

Engagement sessions are always so much fun! They always involve two people who are in love, set to wed in any number of months or weeks, and lots and lots of L-O-V-E! They are always a blast to shoot and to work on in post production. And Nicole and Mike’s engagement session was no different!

We met them in Downtown Phoenix on a sunny afternoon. Nicole and Mike stepped out of the car ready and dressed for the occasion. And they looked simply amazing! We started at an old abandoned garage that was in the area, which really allowed the colors that these two had on really ‘pop’. We loved the contrast that it provided and the scene it set. We soon moved over to Heritage Square, which was close by. The flowers and trees were in bloom with so many fun little flowers. We gathered them up and had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs using them as a prop. Mike and Nicole are such a natural pair together. We were put at ease by them and their sweet demeanors towards one another and you could really see their genuine love and care for one another.

We have been asked to photograph this lovely couple’s upcoming wedding in May and we couldn’t be more excited! Not only are we thrilled to be a part of such a huge occasion, but we are excited to see our two new friends begin a brand new chapter in their lives.

Kevin & Shannon- Engagement Session

We are so excited for this fun loving couple! We originally met Kevin and Shannon a couple months back when they inquired about wedding photography for their upcoming wedding. They were referred to us from a mutual friend and we are so glad that we have gotten to know them up to now. So they booked their wedding with us and we set up their engagement shoot right away!

We picked Downtown Phoenix as our spot for Kevin and Shannon and it was the perfect pick. Shannon had suggested Heritage Square and Jason and I were stoked. We love this area and it was a great spot for the two of them. The leaves were, believe it or not, turning colors and falling to the ground which fit them well since Shannon is from back east. Kevin and Shannon were willing to get on the ground and do anything we asked. They completely trusted us which is a quality that we love and so desire in our clients. We made sure to bust out our iPod, some speakers and jammed to some fun tunes while we snapped away, which created a very relaxing atmosphere and allowed for these two to shine.

We are so excited to be apart of Kevin and Shannon’s engagement and upcoming wedding. They are the best of friends who love each other dearly. It wasn’t hard to capture their genuine friendship and adoration of one another. We couldn’t be happier for them and can’t wait for November 5th, 2010!

Tonya & Adam

Love is in the air!

Tonya and Adam are engaged! Photographing engaged couples is always so much fun. There is so much love, excitement, and joy between the two and the pictures always look so natural and not forced. It’s a thrill for us. Tonya and Adam were no different at all. You can see it all over both of their faces that they are ecstatic to be marrying one another and that they can’t wait! Set to marry this July in beautiful Utah, we had the pleasure of capturing their engagement as they announce to many family and friends that they are in fact, tying the knot!

This shoot was also unique in that Tonya and Adam both requested that their photos be taken in two places that are very special to them. Both places were locations of their first dates, places they still go to often, and ones that they love. Of course we thought this was the perfect idea because it completely speaks to who they are as a couple and as individuals. Our first stop was at Stingray’s Restaurant in Downtown Scottsdale. It fit them perfectly. After we snapped some shots at their favorite spot, we wandered down the streets a little bit, looking for other funky spots that fit their personalities as well. Scottsdale is such a great place, full of energy- even in the morning! There’s so many hidden spots around corners and in alley ways that worked so well.

After our time in Scottsdale, we headed over towards Papago Park, where Tonya and Adam love hiking in the mornings together. As we hiked up together we all realized that none of us were wearing the right shoes, which made for an interesting ‘hike’ and lots of laughs on the way up. We had even more laughs in the way down! Ha! But we made it and we were so glad we did! The morning was slightly overcast and drizzled off and on, the view was exhilarating and Tonya and Adam looked amazing.

Congrats Tonya and Adam! We were privileged to be able to capture this exciting time in your life! We had a great time with you both and hope you truly love these pictures. We wish you a stress free engagement and a lifetime of happiness together!
