The Zins Family- Lifestyle Session

You might remember some of these fun friends. We were introduced to these amazing people when Mike and Nicole were getting married. We are getting SO CLOSE to posting their gorgeous wedding, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Then we were able to photograph Brandon, Christine, and their sweet pea Carson over this past summer. This time, we were lucky enough to get ALL of them- parents, kids, spouses and their sweet grandson Carson. And it was nothing short of a good time! These people are some of the most genuine and gracious people we know. It always feels like we are photographing something special when they’re around, and to have them all together was such a joy. We loved having great conversation, laughing and joking with them all through the shoot. And after Jay and I left we actually felt lifted up by them- simply just by being around them! They all obviously love each other tremendously but also have a deep respect for one another. They enjoy being around one another and are such a great example for what it means to be well… family.

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to the entire Zin clan! We can’t wait to photograph these lovely people again someday!

The Bergs- Lifestyle Session

We love sweet little families! And The Berg’s were no different! Jason and Valeri and their two sweet boys Keaton and Drew were such fantastic people to spend time photographing on the morning we did their shoot. We took them down to The Heard Museum in Downtown Phoenix, which proved to be the perfect back drop for them. It’s clean lines and rich history not only made this spot intriguing to the eye, but it also provided a simple backdrop that just allowed this simply adorable family to stand out in the pictures. Actually, we could have been anywhere and this family would have done that! They love being fun and goofy together, as families should! It was a great pleasure to get to know and spend a morning with them.

The Zimmerman Family- Lifestyle Session

This photo shoot was a lot of fun! I think mostly because these three were all so laid back and relaxed! Tanner, Tiffany and their two year old Caleb were such a great example of what we love in our clients. We always try to create an atmosphere that is very laid back, relaxed and fun while we photograph different families. It’s so easy (especially for the mammas!) to get stressed out about the picture taking process and to hope and want everyone to be in a good mood and for the pictures to turn out perfect. We always tell our clients to just breathe, relax, enjoy and to trust us to capture their beautiful family. We didn’t even have to really tell Tiffany or Tanner this! We walked up and knew right away that they were going to be super chill about the whole thing and that’s exactly what happened. Their son Caleb was a little slow to warm up to us- his sweet and shy nature came through immediately. But as the shoot went on (and with the help of two friendly stuffed dinosaurs!) he eventually came out of his shell and was just the sweetest little thing you could ever imagine. We left their photo shoot talking about how it’s obvious that these amazing people love each other and genuinely love spending time together.

The Victor Family- Lifestyle Session

Gosh we just love this sweet family. We love photographing them because they are just simply adorable! I (Jessica) met Suzanne when we worked together at Westcor- you might remember them… We photographed their Maternity Session, I photographed Suzanne’s delivery of sweet Annabelle and then I photographed their Newborn Session a few days later as well. Suzanne has become a very good friend of mine ever since we’ve met. The kind of friend that you know you’ll always be in touch with through out all of life. I’m lucky to have several friends like that, and Suzanne is definitely one of them! She emailed me to get onto our calendar so we could photograph her and Eric’s precious daughter Annabelle around the time she turned 6 months old.

Six months?? SIX MONTHS??

I could not believe that this darling child was already six months old! Man, time flies for sure! Suzanne told me that she was just starting to be able to sit up on her own and she really wanted updated pictures of that adorable face as well as with the whole family. So I headed out to Glendale, which is where they’re located, and we just had a blast! The afternoon was slightly overcast where we were and it was actually raining in other parts of Arizona, so the sky looked awesome and it wasn’t AS hot as it has been or could be. We were grateful that it wasn’t too sweltering! Annabelle did amazing and was such a little trooper through the whole thing. It was such a great time to spend an afternoon with them.

And I’d photograph this sweet face any day!!

Nikki & Brynn- Lifestyle Session

Such a sweet little duo! We had such a great session with Nikki and Brynn and couldn’t have been happier that they asked us to photograph them together. Nikki had said they were past due to have some updated pictures for their walls and that she really wanted pictures that captured them, were artistic and different than anything they’ve had done before. So we were stoked! We headed to Downtown Scottsdale for their shoot and roamed around in the alley ways pretty much the whole time. We love the contrast of the alley ways with these two beauties in the foreground. I (Jessica) have known Nikki for a few years now- we both worked together at Scottsdale Fashion Square when we were with Westcor. It was so fun to get to know Nikki over the couple years that we worked in the same office and it was even more fun to catch up on life! He daughter Brynn is just the sweetest and cutest girl ever and it was fun to be able to spend a little bit of time with her as well.

We love these pictures Nikki and Brynn! We hope they adorn your walls beautifully and reflect who you two are as a sweet little family!

The Johnson Family- Lifestyle Session

We love when our clients come back to us to photograph them time and time again. There is something so special about waiting for any amount of time to go by, meeting back up with a family, and getting to see and catch up on how life has changed for them and watching them grow. We met The Johnson’s when Christy and Ryan were expecting their little boy Jackson who was due in January. We loved spending time with them and Jackson’s future big brother Landen as we photographed Christy’s baby bump in Downtown Gilbert. I (Jessica), then had the greatest honor of photographing Jackson’s birth in the delivery room! Not long after that, we headed to their home to photograph their newest addition for Jackson’s newborn session.

Now fast forward six months and here we are photographing their little family again and this time in Downtown Tempe! Jackson is now six months old, and wow! This kid is a looker!! Such a cute little stud! It was crazy to think about how six months had already gone by and Christy and I just loved catching up on all the ‘mommy things’ that mom’s talk about. Jackson is sitting up now, rolling over and starting to think about becoming mobile! It’s always such a fantastic time hanging out with The Johnson’s. Their family is absoultely beautiful and we have been so blessed to be able to photograph and spend so much time with them.

The Ream Family- Lifestyle Session

Do you ever meet people that are just so real and honest that it’s refreshing? That’s how we felt about The Ream Family! We met Brandon, Christine and their little one Carson through Mike & Nicole Zins. Christine is actually Mike’s sister! We were so thrilled when they asked us to do a Lifestyle Session with them and were excited to get to know them better! It was such fun to spend time with them and we felt like we had been friends with them for a long time! That’s the kind of people this sweet little family is.

So we headed down to The Biltmore area and spent a couple hours with them. Their little guy, Carson, was almost 1 at the time of this shoot and just such a doll! He wasn’t quite walking yet, but you could definitely tell that he had places to go for sure! He’s getting so close to being mobile on his own and it won’t be long until he is. We had such a great time getting to know these three. They are an amazing family who we actually have a lot in common with! We hope to be able to spend more time with them in the future.

The Kennedy Family – Lifestyle Session

So when Lincoln Kennedy, the father of this family, stepped out of the big white Escalade, I knew that I better be on my “A” game lest I be pounded a good one. Little did I know this mountain of a man, was an endearing and gentle father and husband. With three boys, Thom, Tavon, and Tye, and his wife Patricia in tow we made the Tempe Arts Center our backdrop and enjoyed sweated out a July Phoenix morning.

The two younger boys were….well…boys, and were little hams in front of the camera. It was adorable to see them snuggle up to their bigger brother Thom and they were especially clingy when Thom broke out the tropical flavored Skittles! It was like little 19 month old Tye’s kryptonite during a moment of breakdown.

We captured them together as a united family, with snacks and all, some of the boys together, and then also some great images of Lincoln and Patricia as the smokin hot couple they are! Hopefully you get a sense of the vibrance and life behind this family…from tiny Tye to the big heart of Lincoln, they were a gem to work with!

The Buxton Kids- Lifestyle Session

What a fun bunch! These little kids were a lot of fun to spend some time with one afternoon a couple of weeks back. It was one of those days where no one knew exactly for sure how the kids would do because it was HOT outside! Truly, super hot. And with kids, it can be hard to keep them happy for long and it can be even harder when it’s super hot out. But these sweet siblings and one cousin were just the greatest! It almost seemed like the heat didn’t even phase them! Not only did the kids seem like they were up for anything, but so were their parents. Since it was so hot outside, Melissa (who is mom & step-mom to three of them) was completely up for allowing them to run through a nearby splash pad that looked oh-so-inviting to the kiddos! So after we completed the shoot, we made sure to stick around to capture them running through and playing in the splash pad- fully clothed! It was so much fun to watch the small ones be so adventurous! They loved the water and we had a lot of fun and laughs as their parents just let them romp through the water. It was a great time.

The Rast Family- Lifestyle Session

This photo shoot was bittersweet for us. Sweet in the sense that we love hanging out and spending time with this amazing family. Bitter because half of them are moving to Texas this month! When Crystal and Gaye Lynn contacted me about having their family photographed all together, it was because Gaye Lynn, her husband Carey and their three kids, Payson, Parker and Paige are all being transfered to Texas this month and they wanted to do a session together before they left Arizona. What a great idea! So Woody, Crystal and their daughter Tanna and Woody and Carey’s mom all came to be apart of the photo session as well. It was so much fun hanging with this entire family.

We headed down to a little ghost town near Lost Dutchman’s Park which is close to the Superstition Mountains. They had requested that we capture scenic Arizona since they will be leaving and this was the greatest little spot! It was such a fun afternoon, which we were expecting to be hot out- but it was surprisingly overcast and not unbearable at all! It was a great place for all the kids to run around and play, and it was right next to the mountains which was very cool. It was such a gorgeous afternoon!

We are always sad to see clients and friends move away- we will miss you Rast Family! The good news is that we will be in Texas within the year so this isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of them!
