You know that whole “it’s a small world” deal? Well, it turns out that it just may be true.
No, I’m not talking about the maniacal ride at Disneyland. I mean this sort of inter-connectivity that Jess and I continue to experience when we have the opportunity to hang with new friends doing what we love to do.
The Butlers met up with us at one of more frequent rendezvous points…the Mesa Arts center. We like to meet there simply because it’s an easy access point and the surrounding area lends plenty of various textures and colors with which to work with. We try not to use the grounds on the art center too much because so many photographers use the center and it’s no good when your art looks like everyone else right? So we use a few subtle backdrops from the center and proceed to mosey around downtown Mesa with our fun peeps.
We quickly found out that Koroun & Danielle and their sweet little bug of a girl, Naomi, were next door neighbors and great friends with the Vensels, whom we had a session with in September. But as we begin to share stories and life, we realized that we knew quite a few more people together than we first thought. You see Kuroun is in fact a genuine cigar aficionado and frequents Casa Fuma, which is a cigar lounge here in the East Valley that is co-owned and operated by our good friend Wyatt Bostic. Kuroun gets to hang with Wyatt often.
It’s a small world.
That was just one of the connections that we made that day. But for the sake of keeping this post to a picture post and not a ramble, I’ll simple let you know that the Butlers were fantastic that day. Naomi lit up the afternoon with her innocent smile and laughter. I got to learn a bit about the world of cigars. Coincidentally, we even found a little sparkly foam “B”.
B for Butler.
It’s a small world. Here are the Butlers in fine form…
