Finding inspiration while photographing The Gunkels wasn’t hard to do. They are beautiful (inside and out), amazingly loving and generous people and we get the sense that they make everyone they come into contact with feel right at home. One of my (Jessica) favorite things to do while on a shoot, aside from photographing, is to get to know the families. And Jason and I found ourselves wanting to spend more time with The Gunkels, even after our shoot was done!
Tia and Grant are so sweet. They’ve been married for 15 years, have 4 kids and still look at one another like they are teenagers. It’s refreshing in every sense possible. Their four kids, Taylor, Tanner, Logan and Ella are hardly kids anymore. The maturity level of all four of them astounded us. Tia and Grant have asked us to do Senior pictures for the twins, Taylor and Tanner once the holidays are over, and we are flooded with ideas for that shoot! Their family photo shoot was taken at an old abandoned hotel not too far away. It was an awesome choice for them. The second they got out of the car wearing all the colors they were, we knew it was going to be great!
It’s pretty obvious that this is one fantastic family. People who love others and who love Jesus. They love their circle of friends and value friendship and fellowship. This is one family who we’d love to get to know even better.
