Grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of genuineness.

That’s what our evening with the Petillo family provided for us. Brett and Nichole are the real deal. The type of great people that stand for truth and care for others whether they know you or not. And their two awesome kids Brett Jr and Coral are little spark plugs of energy!

Our session started on a glorious evening in downtown Gilbert along the tracks and proceeded around the vintage shops and restaurants as we conversed about faith and life and even politics…haha, it was only a matter of time! Brett and Coral were free to be kids as they ran around playing with superhero action figures like Thor and Batman.

Jess and I laughed and played as well as we captured the vibrant spirit of this fantastic family. Rolling around on top of a grassy knoll, visiting an old post office, running down alleys, and breathing in for a couple of hours. It was a splendid and relaxing night for us as photographers!

After our shoot together, we all put our feet under the table at the fabulous Liberty Market where we dined on amazing grilled cheese sandwiches, pasta, and more great conversation. The Petillos were nothing but encouragement for Jess and I and we were blessed to be part of capturing a small but genuine part of this families life together!
